About Jeff

Jeff serves as Regional Sales Director for Midland National, supporting independent agents in South Dakota, North Dakota, Northwest Iowa and Northwest Minnesota since January 2008. Jeff comes from the home office environment with Midland National and was one of the most successful financial professionals in the field in this region. He understands the challenges of growing an independent practice and the day-to-day struggles of selling life insurance. Jeff’s knowledge of Midland National, coupled with his background in financial planning, position him to add value to producers who want to help their clients. Partnering with Jeff is one way a financial professional can help grow the amount of life insurance they are writing on a regular basis with a simplified process.


Jeff started his career in the industry as a financial professional for Prudential; then worked at the home office of Midland National before moving back to the field. He spent four years as an independent financial professional using Midland National as his primary carrier and became a President Club level agent.

Education & Certification

Jeff received his Bachelor’s degree in Consumer Affairs and his Master’s degree in Financial Planning from South Dakota State University. He holds his designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) from The American College. Jeff has his FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses and his license in life and health.


Jeff lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with his wife, Lori, and their two daughters, Alida and Claire. Lori helps in the business and is an important member of his team. Jeff enjoys hunting, golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.
